Remodeling

So for any of you who know Michael, which I presume all of you... you know that he is a handyman and always has a vision for something... Well anyway, the market being the way that it is, we decided that it would be a good opportunity to move up and buy a house. After months and months of looking and deciding on what to do, we found this beauty! It is a really long story on how we found this house, but I'm sure most of you already know it. Anyway, we moved into it around the first of November and we have been doing projects ever since! It was previously a model home, and so it had some wallpaper that wasn't our style. We first removed the wallpaper in the kitchen, since we had to see it everyday, and realized it is a lot harder than we anticipated, so we decided to forgo getting rid of the rest of it for a little while.  The first thing we did when we moved in was close up the wall above the fireplace. We didn't really like the slot for the TV that the builder put in there, so we decided to wall in the top and mount the TV up there.

Here is before we walled above the fireplace. We didn't really have a good system to put our speakers or any of the components in.

As you can see, Michael built a shelf to put all of our electronics on, and then i still get the other half to decorate with! I think it turned out really nice.
